Herefordshire Food Links first Summer Fruit Fair
Herefordshire Food Links will host it's first SUMMER FRUIT FAIR, to be held in High Town, Hereford, on Saturday 9th August 2008. This event will celebrate the wonderful fruit produced and processed in so many different ways within the county. Expect to find cider, preserves, cakes, pattisserie, wine, fruit and much more.

Herefordshire boasts a wonderful selection of locally produced food and drink. This site will enable you to locate and enjoy the best produce by using the search facility.
Herefordshire is renowned for its wonderful rural landscape, with rich, red soil and gently flowing rivers. This in turn gives a unique character and diversity to the fabulous food and drink produced here.
Traditional farmhouse cider and perry, synonymous with Herefordshire, is now joined by exciting innovations such as the first British cassis. Meat producers have not only helped with the revival of the iconic Herefordshire cattle, but also with the conservation and breeding of many of our native breeds. This in turn allows the consumer to enjoy flavours of the past.
If you are a local using this directory, a business looking to source a speciality or a visitor exploring the culinary and visual delights of Herefordshire, please use this as a way of discovering what the county has to offer. I urge you to talk to the producers, discover the provenance of your food and learn the history which lies behind it.
The Herefordshire Food Links network promotes locally-produced food and drink, which in turn supports the local economy, encourages sustainable land management and reduces the negative impact of food miles.
