Seasonal Celebrations of English Apples and Cider in the Herefordshire Parishes of the Marcle Ridge

Twice a year the parishes of the Marcle Ridge-Much Marcle with Aylton, Little Marcle, Munsley, Pixley, Putley and Woolhope – celebrate their heritage of apples and pears, cider and perry.

Blossomtime

In Springtime there is a unique blend of orchards in blossom and traditional cider tasting. The Annual Cider and Perry Trials are now an established event for craft cider and perry makers from the region (and beyond) and set a very high standard which gets higher every year.

Autumntime

In Autumn the harvest is celebrated whilst pressing the fruit for the next year’s vintage is under way. This event has also grown from humble beginnings and now attracts hundreds of visitors every year  www.bigapple.org.uk
